We have travelled all of our lives and feel fortunate to have turned our passion into a profession. We share a curiosity about the culture and people of different places. We both love the spontaneous and off-beat moments that become life-long travel memories and our joy is to share these experiences with our travellers.
Mercedeh was on her first plane at the age of 5 months. Since then she's lived on four continents and travelled to more than 35 countries.
Wanderlust ultimately guided her professional path, leading her from working at KPMG in Toronto, London, and Cape Town, to a travel writing gig at The Globe & Mail, to the position of Director of Operations at a luxury travel agency.
She met Jen in 2006 and since then they have travelled and worked together with the intention of creating long-lasting memories for Quench travellers.
Jen visited 6 countries by the age of 6 months, and so it began. Her travels have not slowed down ever since.
She has a degree in Italian Medieval & Renaissance Art, and lived in Florence, Siena, and Burgundy, where she designed and guided luxury trips throughout Europe.
In 2004, she returned to Canada and founded Quench. Over countless research trips and personal adventures, Jen has nurtured an inspiring network of colleagues and friends. Her favourite places include India, Cambodia, Spain and Argentina, but the pull of Africa is irresistable, and her next trip to Italy is never far off.
