Tango at the Cavas Wine Lodge, Mendoza
"What a fabulous trip! We loved all your restaurant recommendations as well as your tips on places to visit. You never steered us wrong. This may go down as the trip with the least amount of arguing as a result. But seriously, thank you so much for removing any stress of planning and providing us with the right amount of guidance along the way. I can't wait to call you for the next trip!"

Argentina
Its long history of European colonists has left Argentina a fascinating heritage of European and Latin American traditions, while geographically it has everything from dense jungle, to vast desert and towering glaciers.
Arriving into Buenos Aires, your first thought may be that the city is like Barcelona, with a twist. From the cobbled streets of San Telmo to the mists rising over Iguazu Falls and the tree-lined vineyard roads at the foot of the Andes, this is an ideal destination for an adventure seeking wine-lover, or for families who want to escape a few weeks of winter without sacrificing their culture-junkie fix.
A postcard from Argentina...
Where do I begin? A private boat trip took us from Tigre through the backwaters of the Delta. We cruised along peacefully through the scenic "cottage country" of Buenos Aires, with a guide who knows these parts like the back of his hand.
After lunch on one of the small islands, we returned to the city in time to take in some shopping in trendy Palermo Soho. You would love the unique boutiques, bustling cafes and hidden art galleries. Imagine a mix of the ecclectic, artistic neighbourhoods of Paris, New York and London all in one.
After a swim and a glass of Torrontes, we headed to a local haunt for dinner. We feasted on the finest "ojo de bife" (rib-eye) I've ever tasted in an "asado", a traditional Argentine steakhouse where we were the only native English speakers.
We then walked over to the square where locals gather to dance the Tango. The scene under the moonlit sky and a canopy of sycamore trees: a warm, breezy evening with musicians playing and all ages of the community dancing together. It was magical. I just wish I knew the steps!
Tomorrow we're off to wine country for some private winery visits and a stop at an artist's atelier. This city has been so wonderful I can't imagine it getting any better. A bottle of Malbec awaits in Mendoza, however, in the shadow of the Andes.

Let us know if you'd fancy a Sunday night tango with the locals.
